For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. A trough of low pressure continues to produce persistent but
disorganized showers and thunderstorms several hundred miles south
of the Gulf of Tehuantepec. Although strong upper-level winds and
nearby dry air should limit development during the next couple of
days, some slow organization of this disturbance is possible late
this weekend and early next week while it moves generally westward
at 10 to 15 mph.

* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.
