For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on newly-formed
Tropical Storm Jova, located about 250 miles south of the southern
tip of the Baja California Peninsula.

1. Disorganized cloudiness and showers centered a few hundred miles
south of Acapulco, Mexico, are associated with a surface trough.
Environmental conditions are forecast to become increasingly
conducive for development, and a tropical cyclone is likely to form
early next week while the system moves west-northwestward at 10 to
15 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...70 percent.
