For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. Shower and thunderstorm activity associated with a low pressure
system located several hundred miles south of the southern tip of
the Baja California peninsula is disorganized.  There is still
some potential for development of this system through the weekend.
However, upper-level winds are expected to become unfavorable for
development by Monday while the system moves slowly northward.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...30 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...30 percent.
