For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Erick, located between Mexico and the Hawaiian Islands.

1. An area of low pressure accompanied by disturbed weather is located
several hundred miles south of Manzanillo, Mexico.  This system
continues to become better organized, and conditions appear
favorable for additional development.  A tropical depression is
expected to form within the next day or two while the system moves
generally westward at 15 to 20 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...80 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent.
