For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. Central East Pacific: 
An area of low pressure is expected to form several hundred miles 
offshore the southwestern coast of Mexico in a couple of days.  
Environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive for gradual 
development of this system, and a tropical depression is likely to 
form during the middle to latter parts of next week while it moves 
west-northwestward over the central portion of the eastern Pacific.

* Formation chance through 7 days...high...70 percent.
