Synopsis for the Gulf of Mexico
342 AM EDT Sun Apr 11 2021

.SYNOPSIS...A weak cold front is over the NW Gulf. Ahead of it,
fresh southerly winds are over the central Gulf. The front will
stall this morning, then continue eastward as a weak cold front
reaching from the Florida panhandle to the central Gulf by early
this evening. The front will weaken further to a trough as it
reaches the southeastern Gulf Mon and dissipates late Mon. An
upper-level trough will help generate scattered showers and
thunderstorms over most of the eastern Gulf waters today. Some of
this activity may contain frequent lightning and strong gusty
winds.
