For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180W:
1. A trough of low pressure south of the Hawaiian Islands is producing
disorganized showers and thunderstorms. An area of low pressure is
expected to develop along the trough during the next couple of days
and some slow development of this system is possible late this
weekend into early next week as it moves slowly northwestward.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...near 20 percent
Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected during the next 5 days.
The central North Pacific hurricane season officially ends on
November 30. The final Tropical Weather Outlook of the season will
be issued at 8 PM on November 30. Routine issuance of the Tropical
Weather Outlook will resume on June 1, 2023. During the off-season,
additional Tropical Weather Outlooks will be issued as conditions
warrant.
