For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180W:
The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida is issuing
advisories on Tropical Storm Jimena, which is currently
approximately 1100 miles east of Hilo, Hawaii. Jimena is forecast
to move into the Central Pacific Hurricane Center's area of
responsibility this afternoon. Environmental conditions
are forecast to become increasingly hostile as this system moves
into the central Pacific basin.
1. An area of disturbed weather located about 1000 miles south to
southwest of Honolulu, Hawaii is producing a large area of
disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions
are marginally conducive for some slow development of this system
during the next several days as it moves west to west-northwest at
around 10 mph.

* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent.
Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected during the next 5 days.
