For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. A weak area of low pressure, located a little over 1000 miles 
southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, is 
producing limited showers and thunderstorms.  This system is 
moving westward and upper-level winds are expected to become 
unfavorable for further development on Friday.
