For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. A broad area of low pressure located about 850 miles south of the 
southern tip of the Baja California peninsula is producing limited 
shower and thunderstorm activity.  Environmental conditions are 
forecast to become less conducive for development during the next 
day or two, and the chance of this system becoming a tropical 
cyclone appears to be decreasing. 
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent.
