For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. A trough of low pressure is producing persistent showers and 
thunderstorms just offshore the coast of southwestern Mexico. 
Strong upper-level winds are expected to inhibit significant 
development while the system moves slowly northwestward parallel 
to, but just offshore, the southwestern coast of Mexico during 
the next couple of days.
