For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180W:
1. Showers and thunderstorms associated with a broad, elongated area
of low pressure around 950 miles southeast of Hilo, Hawaii, have
diminished this afternoon and what remains is poorly organized.
Environmental conditions are not expected to improve much during the
next few days, before becoming unfavorable this weekend. Development
of this system, if any, will be slow to occur as it moves westward
at around 10 mph.
