For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. An area of low pressure is forecast to form well south of the 
southern tip of the Baja California peninsula this weekend.  
Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for gradual 
development of this system by early next week while it moves 
west-northwestward away from Mexico.
