For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. A large but disorganized area of disturbed weather located several
hundred miles south-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja
California peninsula is associated with an elongated area of low
pressure.  Upper-level winds are only marginally conducive for
development of this system while it moves westward to west-
northwestward at 10 to 15 mph during the next day or so.  By
Thursday, upper-level winds are expected to become quite unfavorable
for any significant development of the disturbance.
