For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. An area of low pressure is expected to form several hundred miles
southwest of the southwestern coast of Mexico by the end of the
week.  Environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive for
some development, and a tropical depression could form over the
weekend while the system moves west-northwest to northwest at 5 to
10 mph.
