For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180W:
1. A weak area of low pressure embedded within a broad and elongated
surface trough is located over 900 miles southeast of the Big Island
of Hawaii. Some development of this system is possible over the
next couple of days as the system drifts toward the northwest. The
upper level environment will likely inhibit any further development
after two days.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected during the next 5 days.
