For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. A broad area of low pressure centered about 750 miles south of the
southern tip of the Baja California peninsula is producing
disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Development during the next
day or two is expected to be limited due to hostile upper-level
winds. Thereafter, conditions could become a little more favorable
for tropical cyclone formation while the system moves generally
westward at 10 to 15 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.
