For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. Disorganized cloudiness and showers located several hundred miles
south of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula are
associated with an elongated trough of low pressure.  Environmental
conditions are forecast to be conducive for development, and this
system is likely to become a tropical depression within a few days
while it moves generally northward.
