For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. A broad area of low pressure is located a few hundred miles south
of the Gulf of Tehuantepec and is producing limited showers and
thunderstorms.  Some development of this system is possible by this
weekend while it moves westward to west-northwestward parallel to
the coast of Mexico.
