TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on recently
upgraded Tropical Storm Nora, located well to the east-southeast of
the Hawaiian Islands.

1. Shower and thunderstorm activity associated with a broad area of
low pressure located about 500 miles south-southeast of the Gulf of
Tehuantepec continues to show signs of organization.  Environmental
conditions are expected to be conducive for gradual development of
this system during the next several days while it moves westward at
10 to 15 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent
