A tropical wave accompanied by an area of low pressure is located a few hundred miles southwest of the Cape Verde Islands. This disturbance continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms, and some slow development of the system is possible into early next week while it moves westward at about 15 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent * Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent 2. Disorganized showers and thunderstorms continue in association with an elongated area of low pressure located a couple of hundred miles east of the South Carolina coast.
