For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane
Vance, located just to the east of Socorro Island.

1. Showers and thunderstorms remain disorganized in association with
an area of low pressure located several hundred miles south of
Manzanillo, Mexico.  Development, if any, of this system should be
slow to occur during the next day or so while it moves generally
north-northwestward at about 15 mph.  After that time, development
is not expected due to strong upper-level winds.

* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent.
