Disorganized showers and thunderstorms located several hundred miles northeast of the northern Leeward Islands are associated with a broad surface low pressure area and an upper-level low. Environmental conditions could become a little more conducive for gradual development as a tropical or subtropical cyclone through the weekend while the surface low moves generally northwestward. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...30 percent.
