TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. Showers and thunderstorms associated with a low pressure area
located several hundred miles south-southeast of Manzanillo, Mexico,
have become more concentrated during the past several hours.
Upper-level winds are currently not favorable for significant
development. However, they are expected to become more favorable
during the next couple of days, and any increase in organization
would lead to the formation of a tropical depression.  The low is
expected to move westward or west-northwestward at about 10 mph well
offshore of the coast of Mexico.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...80 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent.
