TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 200 AM EDT SUN SEP 14 2014 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Edouard, located about one thousand miles east-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands. 1. A weak low pressure area located over the east-central Gulf of Mexico is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Upper-level winds are not conducive for development, and the low will most likely degenerate into a trough of low pressure while it moves westward across the Gulf of Mexico during the next couple of days. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...near 0 percent. 2. Disorganized showers and thunderstorms located about 600 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands are associated with a tropical wave.
