TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 1100 PM PDT TUE AUG 5 2014 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Julio, located more than 1200 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. 1. A surface trough located several hundred miles south-southwest of Acapulco, Mexico is producing disorganized shower and thunderstorm activity. Development of this disturbance, if any, is expected to be slow while the system moves westward to west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph during the next few days. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent.
