For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:
1. An area of low pressure is expected to form several hundred miles
south of the coast of southeastern Mexico by this weekend.
Environmental conditions appear favorable for some gradual
development of this system as it moves generally westward at 5 to
10 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.
2. Another area of low pressure could form about a thousand miles
south of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula in a
couple of days. However, environmental conditions appear only
marginally conducive for any development as the system moves
westward to west-northwestward at 5 to 10 mph.

* Formation chance through 5 days...low...10 percent.
