TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL
1100 PM PDT SUN MAY 15 2016

For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. Satellite-derived surface winds indicate that the low pressure
system located about 1000 miles south-southwest of the southern tip
of the Baja California Peninsula has become a little better defined.
Although shower and thunderstorm activity has become somewhat more
concentrated over the past several hours, any further development of
this disturbance is expected to be slow to occur through Tuesday
while it moves westward to west-northwestward at 5 to 10 mph. After
that time, upper-level winds are forecast to become less conducive
for tropical cyclone formation.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent
