TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical
Storm Marty, located a couple of hundred miles southwest of
Acapulco, Mexico.

1. An area of low pressure is expected to form several hundred miles
south-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula
over the next couple of days within an elongated surface trough.
Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for some
development of this low around the middle of the week while it
moves east-northweastward or northeastward.  However, upper-
level winds could become less favorable by the end of the week.

* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent
