For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180W:
1. Central East Pacific (EP97):
An area of low pressure located more than 2400 miles east-southeast
of Hilo, Hawaii has changed little in organization during the past
24 hours. Gradual development of the disturbance is still expected,
and a tropical depression will likely form by early next week while
the system moves generally westward across the central and western
parts of the eastern Pacific basin. This system may potentially
cross into the central Pacific basin around the middle of next
week.

* Formation chance through 7 days...high...80 percent.
Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected during the next 7 days.
