1. An area of low pressure is forecast to develop several hundred
miles south of Hawaii over the next few days. Environmental
conditions are expected to become more conducive for slow
development of the system through the week as it moves west to
west-northwest at 10 to 15 mph.

* Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent.
Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected during the next 5 days.
