TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 1100 PM PDT MON JUL 28 2014 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Hernan, located several hundred miles west of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. 1. A large area of cloudiness and showers extending several hundred miles off the southwestern coast of Mexico is associated with a tropical wave. Environmental conditions appear conducive for gradual development of this system later this week or this weekend while it moves westward to west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...30 percent.
