Tropical Weather Outlook
NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL
1100 AM PDT Sat Oct 6 2018

For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane
Sergio, located a little more than 1000 miles west-southwest of the
southern tip of the Baja California peninsula.

1. Satellite and surface observations indicate that the low pressure
area that was over the far eastern Pacific Ocean has moved inland
over Central America and further development of this system is not
expected. However, this system is producing a large area of showers
and thunderstorms with heavy rainfall across western Nicaragua,
Honduras, El Salvador, and the coast of Guatemala. These rains are
expected to continue across portions of Central America for the next
few days, resulting in flash floods and mudslides in areas of
mountainous terrain.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...near 0 percent.
