DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Hurricane Hector was located
near latitude 14.1 North, longitude 129.8 West. Hector is moving
toward the west near 12 mph (19 km/h) and this general motion is
expected to continue for the next few days.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 105 mph (165 km/h)
with higher gusts.  Hector is forecast to strengthen into a major
hurricane tomorrow and continue at that intensity for a couple of
days.

Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 15 miles (30 km) from the
center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles
(110 km).

The estimated minimum central pressure is 975 mb (28.80 inches).
