DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 900 PM MDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Tina was
located near latitude 18.5 North, longitude 107.1 West. Tina is
moving generally toward the north near 3 mph (6 km/h) and this
motion is expected to continue tonight. A turn toward the northwest
and west-northwest is expected on Monday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Weakening is expected on Monday, and Tina is expected to become a
remnant low by Tuesday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km)
to the east of the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1005 mb (29.68 inches).


HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND

RAINFALL:  Tina is expected to produce total rain accumulations of
3 to 6 inches over portions of Colima and western Jalisco in Mexico
through Monday.
