DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 AM MST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Rick was
located near latitude 16.9 North, longitude 113.8 West.  Rick is
moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h), and this
general motion with a decrease in forward speed is expected through
tonight.  A northwestward motion is forecast Sunday and Sunday
night.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts.
Weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Rick is
expected to become a remnant low by Sunday night.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 35 miles (55 km)
to the east of the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1003 mb (29.62 inches).
