TURN TO THE WEST AND A DECREASE IN FORWARD SPEED ARE EXPECTED
TODAY.  
 
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE DECREASED TO NEAR 30 MPH...45
KM/H...WITH HIGHER GUSTS.  NORMAN SHOULD DEGENERATE INTO A REMNANT
LOW LATER TODAY.

ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ACROSS THE MEXICAN STATES OF SINALOA
AND FAR WESTERN DURANGO THROUGH TODAY.  ISOLATED STORM TOTAL
AMOUNTS OF 12 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN ASSOCIATION WITH NORMAN.
THESE RAINFALL AMOUNTS MAY PRODUCE LIFE-THREATENING FLASH FLOODS
AND MUDSLIDES.
