For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:

1. A large area of disturbed weather is centered several hundred miles
south of the southern coast of Mexico.  Environmental conditions
appear conducive for gradual development, and a tropical depression
is likely to form by the middle of next week while the system moves
generally west-northwestward at about 10 mph.

* Formation chance through 5 days...high...70 percent.
