DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 400 PM CDT (2100 UTC), the center of newly formed Tropical
Depression Three-E was located near latitude 12.4 North, longitude
101.6 West. The depression is moving toward the west-northwest near
9 mph (15 km/h).  A west-northwest to northwest motion, parallel to
the southern coast of Mexico, is expected through the next couple of
days. After that time, the system is forecast to slow and begin to
turn toward the north-northwest.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts.
Strengthening is forecast through the next several days and the
system is forecast to become a hurricane early next week.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
