DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 400 PM CDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Gordon
was located near latitude 35.8 North, longitude 92.3 West. The
depression is moving toward the north near 7 mph (11 km/h), and is
expected to pick up speed while turning more northeasterly Friday
night and Saturday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 10 mph (20 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours as the
storm becomes increasingly extratropical.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1012 mb (29.89 inches).


HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND
----------------------
RAINFALL: Gordon and its transition to an extra-tropical low
could produce total rain accumulations of 3 to 6 inches over
Missouri into the Midwest, with possible isolated maximum amounts of
10 inches through Monday. This rainfall will likely cause local
flooding and flash flooding.
