DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 200 AM PDT (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ivette was
located near latitude 14.9 North, longitude 129.7 West. Ivette is
moving toward the west near 14 mph (22 km/h).  A turn toward the
west-northwest at a slightly slower forward speed is expected by
Saturday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 50 mph (85 km/h) with higher gusts.
Some slight strengthening is possible during the next day or so.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 70 miles (110 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches).
