the 5-6 ft range over the open waters off Mexico, and 3 ft or
less in the Gulf of California.

For the forecast, light to gentle winds will prevail across the
waters of Baja California through tonight, increasing slightly

two areas of low pressure. Gentle to moderate winds are
elsewhere S of the monsoon trough. Northerly swell that has
impacted the northern waters continues to subside, with seas
reaching to 8 ft covering a small area N of 28.5N between 131W and
138W. Mainly moderate seas are found elsewhere, except rough seas to
9 ft in the waters south of the two areas of low pressure.

For the forecast, the northerly swell will subside further
today. Fresh to occasionally strong winds, and rough seas, are
expected near the low pressure areas along western portion of the
monsoon trough into early next week. Elsewhere, moderate or
weaker winds, and moderate seas, will prevail across the open
