DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 500 PM HST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Norbert was located near latitude 20.2 North, longitude 140.5 West. The depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 15 mph (24 km/h) and a generally westward motion is expected over the next couple of days. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. Continued gradual weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Norbert is expected to become a post-tropical remnant low tomorrow. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches). HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND ---------------------- None.
