DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 500 PM HST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Norbert
was located near latitude 20.2 North, longitude 140.5 West. The
depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 15 mph (24 km/h)
and a generally westward motion is expected over the next couple of 
days.
 
Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 35 mph (55 km/h) 
with higher gusts. Continued gradual weakening is forecast during 
the next 48 hours, and Norbert is expected to become a
post-tropical remnant low tomorrow.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb (29.71 inches).
