DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 200 AM MST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Marie was 
located near latitude 13.8 North, longitude 108.9 West. Marie is 
moving toward the northwest near 9 mph (15 km/h), and this general 
motion is expected to continue during the next couple of days.
 
Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph (75 km/h) with higher gusts.
Gradual strengthening is forecast, and Marie is expected to become 
a hurricane in the next day or so. 
 
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 160 miles (260 km)
from the center.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches).
