DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 800 AM MST (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Cosme was
located near latitude 15.5 North, longitude 114.6 West.  Cosme is
moving toward the northwest near 3 mph (6 km/h).  A very slow turn 
toward the north and north-northeast is expected today, followed by 
a faster motion toward the northeast on Wednesday.
 
Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 65 mph (100 km/h) 
with higher gusts.  Additional weakening is forecast, and Cosme is 
expected to become post-tropical by Wednesday.  The remnant low is 
forecast to dissipate by Friday.
 
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km)
from the center.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 996 mb (29.42 inches).
