DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Hurricane Odalys was located
near latitude 15.5 North, longitude 127.2 West. Odalys is moving 
toward the east near 7 mph (11 km/h). An eastward to 
east-northeastward motion at a slightly slower speed is expected for 
the next couple of days, followed by a gradual turn toward the 
northeast then north later this week.
 
Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 80 mph (130 km/h) 
with higher gusts. Additional strengthening is expected during the 
next day or two, followed by a weakening trend late this week.
 
Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 35 miles (55 km) from the
center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 125 miles
(205 km).
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 984 mb (29.06 inches).
