For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180W:

Active Systems:
The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on
Potential Tropical Cyclone One-C, located about 895 miles
east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...90 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...high...90 percent.

Western East Pacific (EP99):
Showers and thunderstorms have increased since yesterday in
association with a low pressure system located about midway between
Hawaii and the west coast of Mexico.  Although the upper-level winds
are marginal for further development, any significant increase in
organization could result in the formation of a tropical depression
or storm tonight or tomorrow.  The system is forecast to move
slowly southwestward into less conducive environmental conditions
by Friday.
