There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.
 
Interests in the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument should
monitor the progress of Lala. Watches could be required for portions
of the area on Tuesday.
 
 
DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
----------------------
At 500 PM HST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lala was 
located near latitude 20.3 North, longitude 165.5 West. Lala is 
moving toward the west near 12 mph (19 km/h), and this motion is 
expected to continue through Tuesday. A turn toward the 
west-northwest then northwest is forecast on Wednesday and Thursday.
 
Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 70 mph (110 km/h) 
with higher gusts. Strengthening is forecast during the next couple 
of days, and Lala is expected to become a hurricane again by 
Tuesday.
 
Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 105 miles (165 km)
from the center.
 
The estimated minimum central pressure is 991 mb (29.27 inches).
