.SYNOPSIS...Major Hurricane Polo is near 16.8N 104.4W at 8 AM
PDT, and is moving west-northwest at 9 kt. Maximum sustained
winds are 135 kt with gusts to 165 kt, and the minimum central
pressure is 928 mb. Polo will move to 17.0N 105.8W this evening,
17.1N 107.8W Fri morning, and 17.4N 109.6W Fri evening. Hurricane
Polo will be at 18.2N 111.2W Sat morning, 19.4N 112.5W Sat
evening, and 21.1N 113.3W Sun morning. Polo will change little in
intensity as it moves to the west of Baja California Sur early
Mon. Hurricane Odalys is near 16.4N 125.5W at 8 AM PDT, and is
moving east-northeast at 6 kt. Maximum sustained winds are 80 kt
with gusts to 100 kt, and the minimum central pressure is 976 mb.
Odalys will move to 16.9N 124.5W this evening, 17.8N 123.6W Fri
morning, and 18.6N 123.1W Fri evening. Odalys weaken to a
tropical storm near 19.6N 123.0W Sat morning, then reach 21.0N
122.9W Sat evening, and 22.4N 122.6W Sun morning. Odalys will
weaken to a remnant low northwest of the Revillagigedo Islands
early Mon. Looking ahead, an area of low pressure is expected to
form in a couple of days to the south of the Gulf of
Tehuantepec. Afterwards, environmental conditions should be
favorable for gradual development, and a tropical depression is
likely to form early next week as the system moves slowly west-
northwestward to northwestward, parallel to the coast of southern
and southwestern Mexico. There is a high chance of tropical
formation of this system through the next seven days.
